About the Teacher/Director
Yuki Moore
Founder and Director, Yuki’s Japanese Language Tutoring & Tea Ceremony
Adjunct Instructor of Japanese, University of Alaska Anchorage
Born and raised in Japan in a family of educators,
Yuki developed a deep appreciation for learning and teaching from an early age.
Her professional background spans more than 25 years in the fields of Japanese language education and traditional culture instruction.
As an adjunct instructor at the University of Alaska Anchorage,
she teaches Japanese language and culture courses to a wide range of students—
from beginners to advanced learners—helping them build both linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding.
In addition to her university teaching,
Yuki is a licensed Omotesenke Tea Ceremony Instructor
and the founder of Yuki’s Japanese Language Tutoring & Tea Ceremony in Anchorage, Alaska. Through this program, she offers personalized tutoring and tea ceremony instruction, fostering intercultural connection and mindfulness through the art of tea.
Yuki’s approach integrates academic rigor with cultural authenticity,
inviting each learner to experience the Japanese language and tea tradition
as pathways to deeper understanding, respect, and self-reflection.

Japanese Language Instructor
Born and raised in Japan,
Ms. Anna has been teaching with Yuki’s Japanese Language Tutoring and Tea Ceremony since the spring of 2023.
Her warm and attentive teaching style, clear explanations, and genuine care for each student have made her classes deeply engaging and truly valued by learners.

Ms. Haruka
Japanese Conversation Instructor
Originally from Okinawa,
Ms. Haruka has been leading conversation sessions with Yuki’s Japanese Language Tutoring & Tea Ceremony since the spring of 2021.
Her calm and kind personality, gentle sense of humor, and thoughtful approach to each student have made her a teacher whose presence brings comfort and confidence to her learners.
