Born and raised in Japan in a family of educators, Yuki developed a deep appreciation for learning and teaching from an early age. Her professional background spans more than 25 years in Japanese language education and traditional cultural instruction.
As an adjunct instructor at the University of Alaska Anchorage, she teaches Japanese language and culture to learners from beginners to advanced levels, supporting both linguistic growth and cultural understanding.
In Anchorage, Alaska, Yuki founded AKJPTutors, offering Japanese language consultation, personalized tutoring, and cultural learning opportunities. She also leads programs under “Yuki’s Japanese Tea Ceremony.”
Her teaching philosophy blends academic clarity with cultural authenticity, inviting each learner to experience Japanese language and tea practice as pathways toward deeper understanding and reflection.

Ms. Haruka has been leading conversation sessions with AKJPTutors since the spring of 2021.
